	In this context this concept attempts to achieve, above all, better packaging and optimized logistics. "We are very pleased to be able to contribute to this initiative with our packaging knowhow. Our oxygen absorber SHELFPLUS<sup>®</sup> O<sub>2</sub>, for example, is capable of keeping foodstuffs such as baby food or beverages such as fruit juices and wine fresh for a considerably longer period of time - without increasing the weight of the packaging", explained Roland Schultz, Director Marketing Packaging.</p><p>
	The worldwide market for active packaging solutions is anticipated to grow an average of 5% during the period from 2014 to 2019 according to Smithers Pira. ALBIS also wants to profit from this trend with existing products as well as new developments. In addition to oxygen absorbers ALBIS is also working on combination products such as O<sub>2</sub>/CO<sub>2</sub> absorbers as well as integrable moisture absorbers and moisture control materials. A great advantage of the master batch solutions from ALBIS is the unlimited recyclability of the packaging in comparison to sachet solutions.</p>
