                        <div>General Ledger Accountant<br />Gdansk<br />NR REF.: 1193259<br /><br /><p>Your new company </p><p>A global technology company that has been transforming the way people work, empowering companies and individuals with services and technologies that inspire innovation, enhance sustainability and boost business growth.</p><p>Your new role </p><p>The General Ledger Accountant will ensure that all reconciliations and accounting procedures are performed to Group standards, ensuring that maximum customer satisfaction is achieved, and service levels are met or exceeded for all customer requirements.</p>More importantly, you will be responsible for the following:<br />• Reconcile and agree intercompany trading accounts and intercompany balances and correct reporting to the Group.• Carry out month-end close processes for the General Ledger and posting of month-end journals, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.• Manage general reconciliation processes, in particular ensuring that all reconciling items are identified, and appropriate journal corrections are made on a timely basis.• Ensure that all reconciliations are performed and recorded consistently according to guidelines and completed on time to ensure that month-end deadlines are met.• Make sure that all reconciliations are approved in accordance with group procedures.• Ensure that any system errors are reported to the Competency Centre and are resolved in a timely manner.• Ensure that performance is in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)• Supporting accounting activities from multiple Op Cos• Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place, including compliance with SOX and ensuring that internal and external audit requirements are met.<p>What you39ll need to succeed </p><p>To be successful in this position, you should have experience with month-closing activities as a GL accountant or similar position. We are looking for someone with excellent analytical and communication skills. Understanding of the entire accounting cycle is required. Fluency in English is very important for this position. We prefer education in fields such as finance, accounting, and economics.
